Along with cherry blossoms, chrysanthemums are the national flower of Japan, and are considered to be the most noble and beautiful of all flowers.

Its name comes from the Greek word meaning “golden flower.” These flowers symbolize longevity, joy, optimism, and loyalty, and exist in a variety of colors, each with a different meaning.

In Japan, the imperial seal is a 16-note chrysanthemum, which is affixed to official government documents. The flower has always been highly valued not only for its beauty.
